La Spezia

La Spezia is a seaside town on the border between Liguria and Tuscany which,
known mainly for its merchant port, holds fascinating surprises for visitors.

Among the major attractions are the "Thaon di Revel" bridge, a modern structure
that connects the public gardens to Porto Mirabello, museums such as the Naval Technical Museum,
one of the most important in Italy, the Castle of San Giorgio, a historical monument
and archaeological museum, and the Amedeo Lia Art Museum which houses a vast collection
of paintings from the 13th to the 18th century, the views, the caruggi (narrow alleyways typical of Liguria)
alleys and stairways typical of Ligurian towns.

La Spezia is crossed by Via Prione, a pedestrian boulevard known for its shopping,
restaurants, taverns and day and night clubs.
